If one were to take a peek inside my makeshift, at-home beauty closet, they might mistake it for some sort of creepy, futuristic torture chamber. It’s not, I promise. I just have a lot of beauty devices laying around in there. Microcurrent devices, lasers, LED masks, digital eye depuffers—there isn't a high-tech tool I don't have. While I love them all equally for what they do to my skin, I do wish sometimes there was a one-and-done tool that could target a host of issues. Enter: the Shark CryoGlow LED Mask.

Shark CryoGlow Under-Eye Cooling + LED Anti-Aging Skin Clearing Face Mask

I was given the multi-tasking device to try out in January ahead of its February release, and now that I’ve been three months into testing, I can confirm that this thing is the real deal. The hard-shell mask not only emits red, blue, and infrared light, but it also comes with removable eye-cooling pads. Major. But more on the eye-cooling pads later.

Let's get into the LED goodness first: As a refresher, research shows that LED lights can help with redness, inflammation, fine lines, wrinkles, and collagen production. The mask is pre-set with three quick and easy modes: a Better Aging Treatment that uses red and infrared lights to target fine lines and sagging skin in 6 minutes, a Skin Clearing Treatment that uses blue and infrared LED, along with red lights, to combat and clear redness and other flare-ups in 8 minutes, and finally a 4-minute maintenance mode that enhances skin’s glow.

Over the past three months, I have noticed a difference in my skin, especially my forehead and 11 lines. I know its getting the job done since I’ve been doing a lot of traveling in 2025, and on weeks when I am away, I see my skin starts going to back to its natural state. But just a couple of days with the mask back on erases any glaring imperfections. I’ve been using the Skin Clearing Mode more than the Better Aging Treatment (the mask keeps count of how many treatments you’ve done) because I’ve been dealing with some undesirable breakouts and dark spots recently (probably because of my constant traveling), and the blue and infrared lights have really helped mitigate pesky spots.

Now for my favorite part: those under-eye coolers I was talking about before. The best way I can describe them is like cryotherapy for your eyes. Powered by InstaChill Cold technology, the pads have three cooling modes that instantly soothe and depuff tired eyes between 5 and 15 minutes. I love using them first thing in the morning when I am having issues getting out of bed. Even better, they can be used simultaneously with your LED modes for a 2-in-1 treatment, or you can use them alone if you just need a bit of perking up, or just forgo them altogether. But if I were you, I wouldn’t skip them. That’s the whole magic of the mask.

The one thing I will note, however, is the battery life isn’t as great as I’d like. You do need to charge it every couple of days if you’re using it most days as I have. The mask also weighs on the heavier side. You can't really lay down with it on, it’s really only a mask for sitting on the coach, but you can definitely also do some multi-tasking around the house with it thanks to the hand-dandy clip-on remote it comes with. I often wear it while I get ready in the morning to save myself some time.

All in all, I am very impressed by Shark’s first foray into skincare. This is a first-of-its-kind device that really solves a lot of skin woes at a reasonable price point. If you’re curious about testing various beauty devices, this is the one I recommend purchasing.
